Welcome back, Pratt students and families!

Dear Pratt Elementary School Families, 

I hope this letter finds you well and filled with great anticipation for the upcoming school year. As the principal of Pratt Elementary School, I am pleased to welcome you to the start of our new academic journey together. 

The beginning of a new school year is always a time of excitement and filled with endless possibilities. It is an opportunity to establish new connections within our school community. Whether you are a returning student or joining us for the first time, we assure you that Pratt Elementary School is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports academic, social, and emotional development. 

Our mission is to create a joyful school community where identity is honored, and genius is cultivated. We believe in fostering inquiry and curiosity by setting high expectations so that every student can become their best selves in our rapidly changing world. We recognize that to be successful, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a significant difference in their education. As partners, we share responsibility for their success. 

This year, our school community is uniting around a powerful and inspiring theme: Together We Can, Together We Will, Together We Must. At its core, this emphasizes collaboration and teamwork. Where all students are seen, valued, and heard. We encourage all students to approach this new school year with a commitment to personal growth and a positive mindset. Important Dates and Times

• Open house will be held on Sept. 3, 2026, from 4:30 - 6 p.m. 
• The first school day for students in grades 1-5 is Tuesday, Sept. 8. 
• The first day for students in pre-K and kindergarten is Thursday, Sept. 10. 
• Our school day begins at 8:05 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. 
• Doors open at 7:50 a.m.; students will not be allowed to enter until then. 
• Breakfast and lunch are free of charge for all students this year. Breakfast is served from 7:50 a.m. until 9 a.m., and lunch is served at midday.
